This stitch is made up of a 2-row repeat: One cast on row, one return pass.

Abbreviations:

Lace Return Pass (LP): Chain 3. Yarn over and pull through 5 loops. *Chain 4. Yarn over and pull through 5 loops. Repeat from * until you are left with 2 loops on your hook. Yarn over, and pull through the 2 remaining loops.

Tunisian Simple Stitch (TS): Insert your hook behind the front loops of the vertical stitch. Pull up a loop.

Stitch:

Chain in multiples of 4 + 2

Cast-on:

Insert your hook into the second chain from hook. Yarn over, and pull the hook out of the stitch. You should now have two loops on your hook.

Go to the next stitch, insert your hook into the  stitch and yarn over, then pull up a loop. You’ll now have three loops on your hook. Insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop. You’ll now have four loops on your hook. Continue adding loops to your hook until you have cast on one loop for every stitch of your chain.

Complete a traditional return pass: Yarn over and pull through one loop on your hook (the first loop on the hook). Now yarn over, pull through two loops (loops 2 and 3 on your hook). Continue to yarn over, pull through two loops until you have only one loop on your hook.

Row 1: TS into the second stitch from your hook, and into every stitch of the row.

Complete a LP.

Row 2: insert your hook into the space between the first stitch and the first cluster of the row, yarn over and pull up a loop. *Insert your hook into the stitch above the cluster, yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert your hook into the first chain, yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert your hook into the second chain, yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert you hook into the third chain, yarn over and pull up a loop. Repeat from * until you reach the last cluster.

Insert your hook into the small chain directly after the last cluster, yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert your hook onto the second chain from the last cluster, yarn over and pull up a loop. Insert your hook into the third loop from the cluster, yarn over and pull up a loop.

Complete a LP.

Repeat Row 2 and the LP until you complete the length you want for your project.

Crochet addict, bibliophile, and cooking enthusiast. If I'm not sleeping, I'm probably making something while reading (because why do one thing at a time, when you can do two?)

Drawing, painting, and coloring are some of my favorite things to do, so I own a ridiculous amount of art supplies & coloring books. I also enjoy making soap, and even owned a soap shop in Albuquerque for a few years.

Other than that, I've owned a few businesses and have moved cross-country a few times. I play the flute and piccolo, and love to study languages in my free time. I'm fluent in English, Spanish and French, and I speak a little German, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Russian, and Korean. I'm a writer, though you wouldn't know it by the quality of my bio, but I write fiction and fantasy stories. My first novel will be completed soon, and I have a second one in the works.

Someday, I will travel the world with the person I love. We will see and experience all the magic the world has to offer together, and it will be amazing.
