With the smell of Fall comes all things festive, like cookies and hot cocoa, snowflakes, twinkle lights, and Christmas Trees! This tea towel was inspired by the beautiful sights of Spokane in winter. I loved looking out the window and watching the snow fall on the Evergreens! Now that I live in Florida, I wanted to bring a little of that holiday magic into my home 🙂

Before we begin, I need to stress the importance of using a 100% COTTON yarn for this project. It is intended for use in the kitchen, and it needs to be able to withstand high heat. Synthetic yarns, while beautiful and soft, can melt if exposed to high heat. And when I say “high heat” I don’t mean putting the towel over an open fire, I’m talking about regular kitchen activities. Activities such as pulling cookies out of the oven, covering a hot loaf of bread, using the towel as a potholder, you know, that kind of stuff. If you intend to use the towel as a bathroom hand towel, then go ahead and use any yarn you want.

What you’ll need:

Yarn: 2 Skeins Peaches & Cream Cotton in Forrest Green, 120 yds / 109 m skein
1 Skein Peaches & Cream Cotton in Ecru, 120 yds / 109 m skein

Additional materials: Scissors, needle (any needle you can fit your yarn through will work).

Sizing: 23.5 x 15.5 in  / 59.7 x 39.4 cm

For this pattern, I’ve made the chart available separately, for those of you that just want the chart and not the full pattern. The full pattern does include a chart, so you do not need to purchase the chart separately.
